'Two native Americans tend a cooking pot. The female figure approaches the pot with a spoon while the male kneels to fan the flames. In the pot are an ear of corn (maize), a fish, and perhaps some fruits.The engraving is after a watercolor by John White. Engraver may be Gijsbert van Veen, 1562-1628. Theodor De Bry's America.
